About Our Firearms Dealership
Guns Ammo Trading was founded in 2013 by William Coleman (Jnr) in Delmas, when his passion for firearms inspired him to start a small gun shop from his flat in the backyard — while he was still in school. With a small amount borrowed from his father, the business began as a hobby and quickly grew into something much more.
In 2015, while studying at the University of Pretoria, William continued to manage the shop remotely, relying on trusted individuals who worked on a commission basis. Around this time, he qualified for his first credit card and began repaying his father for the loan that helped launch the venture.
By 2016, Guns Ammo Trading hired its first full-time employee, marking a new era of growth. William would often collect stock after his university classes and personally deliver it back to Delmas — a testament to his dedication and hands-on approach.
In 2018, his commitment to the business led him to leave university and focus full-time on building the gun shop. Over the years, Guns Ammo Trading has become a respected and trusted name in the local firearms community.
In October 2025, the business expanded with the opening of a second branch in Nigel, continuing its mission to provide quality firearms, accessories, and service to enthusiasts across South Africa.
