- Compile your entire license or competency application

👤 What You Need to Do
- Provide us with your personal information and required documentation
- Sign the application and supporting forms
- Submit it in person at the police station nearest to your residence (as required by law)

📑 Documents Required
🔒 SECTION 13 – Self-Defence
- Copy of your ID
- Proof of residence
- Competency certificate/card
- Firearm licenses (if applicable)
- Training certificates & results
- 3x completed SAP 86 forms (from people who know you well)
- Photos of your safe (inside, outside, lock)
🦌 SECTION 15/16 – Sport or Hunting
Includes all items from Section 13 plus:
- Shooting or hunting photos (4–5 of you actively participating)
⚰️ Estate Firearm
- Firearm license
- ID of deceased
- Death certificate
- Letter of executorship
- ID of executor
- Completed & signed SAP 271 form by executor
🔄 Renewal or Amnesty
- Copy of existing firearm license (front and back)
- We provide the updated SAP 271 form
🤝 Firearm Bought from Private Person
- Copy of firearm license
- ID of current owner
- Signed SAP 271 form by current owner
📋 Competency Application
- ID document
- Proof of residence
- Training certificate + statement of results
- 3x completed SAP 86 forms
💡 Important to Remember
- You may own 1 self-defence firearm and 3 occasional use firearms
- For more, you’ll need dedicated status
- You must certify your ID, proof of residence, and competency AFTER collecting your application
- Incorrect information may result in rejection or full re-application at your cost
